Travel tips
There are always multiple items to consider before travelling. Carry out your own research about the countries you plan to visit, visas and vaccinations requirements. It is also advisable to learn a few phrases in the local language (LuxeSafaris has a list of commonly used words and phrases translated into Swahili - provided to all travellers together with booking arrangements).
It is advisable to arrange supplementary travel and health insurance. Carry proof of the insurance coverage. If you are taking medication with you, make sure you keep it in its original container. Carry a doctor's prescription for any controlled drugs together with medical certificates. Leave copies of medical certificates at home as well.
Make sure your passport has adequate validity and number of blank pages. Photocopy the identification page and keep it separate from your passport. Leave another copy with someone at home.
Keep the original receipts for any purchases you make, as well as for your hotel bill, rental car agreement, and medical service bills.
